 * Our wordpress website was recently hacked. I have the website back up and running
   with a few issues on dealing with Internet Explorer.
 * 1. I can no longer log in to the WordPress dashboard through Internet Explorer(
   version 8 with the latest update). I get the pink box saying that my user name
   or password is invalid. Also, it reverts right back to the login screen whenever
   I click the link forgot password. However, I have no issues with either Chrome
   or Firefox login in, or getting the email screen on forgot your password.
    2.
   I am using the Mensy plugin for a drop down main menu. However, in Internet Explorer
   the drop down is not functioning. Again in Chrome and Firefox it functions properly.
   3. I am using Tippy for a pop-up description of cupcake flavors on our website.
   I have the same issue. The pop-up description does not work in Internet Explorer.
   However, it does function and work properly in Chrome and Firefox.
 * Just a note: All of these items were functioning properly in IE prior to the
   hack. I have gone through everything with a fine tooth comb. Installed a clean
   version of WordPress. Perused through the database to the best of my knowledge
   to remove the infected pieces.
 * Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I have a years worth of work in this website
   and don’t want to have to start again from scratch.

 * As an added note: I have another wordpress website that is having a similar issue.
   I can’t log in to the dashboard through IE so it is not just one wordpress website
   it seems to be any wordpress website. I have no issues whatsoever logging in
   with firefox or chrome.

 * Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s
   folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name
   using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) or whatever file management
   application your host provides.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
 * – re-uploading all files & folders – **except** the wp-content folder – from
   a **fresh** download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of
   files & folder before uploading the new ones.
