I’ve been trying to add a chart to my homepage. When I try to save the page while editing, I get a “Response is not a valid JSON response” error. This happens when I try to put in the shortcode.

If I download the “Classic editor” plugin and then use the Classic editor, I don’t get this. However, I don’t like the classic editor as it doesn’t let me visually arrange things the way I want.

The charts work correctly on other pages. It’s just the front page of the website.

Howe can I stop this error without having to use the classic editor plugin?

I went ahead and tried using the “insert” button when I put in a Visualizer block (instead of using the shortcode) even though it was telling me that I wouldn’t be able to do that (was giving me some message about javascript) and that worked in Gutenberg.

    Hi @yngvai,

Thank you for the update, I’m glad it worked.

The error that appears when you publish/update the page regarding the invalid JSON response might also occur when creating the charts within the library if something isn’t properly set in a chart. For example, if you try to create a chart from a remote URL which doesn’t provide data in JSON or CSV format as the plugin expects.
