Hello. I recently installed this plugin and set up turnstile and it was working fine. I know a couple days ago Cloudflare had a huge issue and a lot of sites and services went down. Since then I’ve been getting this error “Invalid Turnstile challenge” when I try to log in to my site. I was able to disable the plugin and regain access, updated it today, and reset the Turnstile keys, but it still isn’t working. I’m not sure if Cloudflare is still having issues or if their fix broke the compatibility with this plugin or what, so I figured I’d ask.

Nothing should have changed recently as far as Turnstile goes. Just to be extra sure, I logged out of a bunch of sites to test logging in with Turnstile via this plugin, and all worked fine/as expected. Turnstile itself is fairly simple underneath it all. It basically comes down to a value being passed with the form, so if something is blocking/filtering that value (or causing it to never be generated), it would be an issue.

Are you running anything that could be blocking it within your browser (for example privacy/ad blockers)?

I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before, but your reply was the hint I needed. Wordfence is suddenly blocking it for some reason. Thanks

Interesting… I wonder what their logic was for blocking Turnstile? But also not the first time I’ve seen Wordfence do something that seemed idiotic to me. 😂
