I remember having had this issue with another ligthbox plugin years ago. It seems that this problems persists. I am using your newest plugin, newsest WordPress and newest ipad IOs. When displaying originally in portrait mode your pop up gallery lightbox displays the picture in 90 degree rotated landscape mode. This ONLY happens with iPad’s Safari. Please check if the affected have orientation info in their EXIF data( [see here for instructions](http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/digitalphotography/f/sideways-pictures.htm)). Looks like for what reason ever Apple has to go an extra way and uses the screen oriantation setting inside EXIF. Trouble was caused by an old software used to rotate picture which did not detect the screen orientation setting but left it untouched after saving. So we rotated the images manually but left the orientation information in it.
