# IPv6

 * Hello I’ve set up a website on my university’s servers:
 * [http://www.msg.ugent.be](http://www.msg.ugent.be)
 * When the Gcal Events plugin tries to retrieve data from google I get the following
   message: failed to connect to 22a00:1450:4009:80d::2004: Network is unreachable.
 * I know from my universities helpdesk the servers do not work with IPV6 but with
   IPV4.
 * Is there a way to get the plugin work on IPV4 servers?

 * strange error – I don’t think the plugin has anything to do with IP protocol 
   connections. Perhaps you may want to check if `wp_remote_get` (an internal wordpress
   function) is working properly on the server where your WordPress installation
   is. The plugin uses this function to query Google Calendar. It’s a wrapper for
   PHP cURL. This is currently the only function used to connect with Google.
