    Hello,
    I find your plugin extremely good asfinally there is a plugin that lets you control every element on it’s own.
    However, I couldn’t figure why it’s adding async to JS files that I’ve decided to keep in the header nor figured out how to remove it.
    There are some files that I rather keep as “render blocking” as otherwise my scripts will break.
    Is there a way of removing async from scripts that remains in <head> ?

    I hope you’re doing well!

    At the moment adding the Async option to the Hummingbird, plugin is under development. I’m afraid the Asset Optimization doesn’t async JS scripts yet.

    Please see if these scripts are loading asynchronously by default, without Asset Optimization enabled. Perhaps it is a built-in feature into a plugin/theme that is used on your site.

    Hi Nastia,
    When the plugin is turned off there is no async, when it is it’s being added.
    Once you have the async on/off option I will be able to use it.

    I trust you’re doing well!

    I’m afraid the Hummingbird plugin doesn’t load JS scripts asynchronously. It is not coded that way and I can’t replicate it on my end.

    The issue must be coming from something else. Please have a backup of your site, and leave only Hummingbird enabled, deactivate all other plugins. See if the issue is still there.

    Also please create a staging site, with Asset Optimization enabled, and share a link with us so we could check this issue.

    Hi Nastia,
    Right now Hummingbird + Advanced Custom Fields PRO are the ones activated (the site will break without ACF).

    Hummingbird on – async is added
    Hummingbird off – async removed

    I trust you’re doing well!

    When visiting your site with ?avoid-minify=true, which deactivates all Hummingbird’s optimization, the async is still there. Please test for a conflict with the theme.

    Deactivate the theme and re-check the assets from Hummingbird > Asset Optimization. Based on the page source looks like async could be coming from an active theme.

    Please test your site without the ACF enabled too. As the ACF could have an option to async files.
