Sorry that you ran into issues here!
I’m not sure why you’re saying that we’ve stopped development on this as that is simply not true. Allow me to clear up some misconceptions you might have about AWPCP here…
We just released a patch update recently to handle some interim bugs while we are working on our custom post type migration. Active development has not stopped on this plugin.
We already support mobile, responsive displays–but this requires, like all other plugins, that you have a mobile responsive theme installed as well. This has been supported since 3.6.x.
Translation files are added by user contributions–right now, we have MANY translation files available, including: German, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, and Slovakian. You are free contribute one by joining our community at Transifex, which you can contact me for the url here: http://awpcp.com/contact/
Auctions are something we are still considering, but it requires us to complete the custom post type migration first.
Don’t understand me wrong, the plugin is great but i realy thought there is no development about this plugin.
I use this plugin for a few years and buy a few (4 or 5) extra modules.
The plugin works good also the extra modules but the plugin had a very old look, like the dropdown fields, the lightbox-view works with forward and backward links under the photo’s. There is no good forward ans backward arrow. And swiping on mobile is should be a dream i think.
When i install this pluging i see this and accept this. I was waiting for future updates to hope this plugin has evolution with the time and gets better looks and more functions
It is build almost 7 yeas ago and now it has still the same look and the same functionalities as i begin work with it few years ago.
In the few years i us this plugin and modules there is never release any update for new features, modernisations or update the exist features. Only patches to keep the compatibility with the latest wordpress and other plugins and phpbb updates. Only to keep this plugin working for selling. So for me it looks like.

We are an old plugin and because of that, we have a fair amount of legacy installs and baggage that comes with that. We have been attempting to migration to a full custom post type now for some time–the reason being that pretty much every feature people want requires us to have this core functionality integrated into the plugin. Since the original author didn’t do this (and CPTs weren’t even around at the time), this change has been painful and slow. We’ve had to redo the entire core of the plugin, all of the premium modules and testing has been very difficult–we’ve had to add a full automated suite to even trust that our changes aren’t breaking the 10K existing installs we have.
I know this has been slow and frustrating–I can appreciate that you’ve been patient for awhile. Nevertheless, we HAVE been adding changes–but I haven’t been keeping the website up to date like I should.

We actually have ZIP search available right now–we’ve also added support for PayFast and Stripe, too. The Maps Integration is next probably early 2018. Marketplace is a big update and absolutely won’t happen until we complete CPT migration.
Thank you for explaining why the developink of this plugin goes so very slowly. This is really a very nice and unique plugin, but still limited.
Of course, you should take into account the 10k users, but if there is no or little development then this amount will decrease rapidly.
Much development has to do with design and compatibility for mobile users. This modernization should always continue, otherwise you will lose users.
I hope that the development will be continued soon and that there will be some very useful features.
My ideas / wishes would be:
– Bidding option
– Photos swipping for mobile users
– List and grid view for listenings
– Nice buttons for Add new etc.
– Ajax. (no screen refressing needed)
Keep up the good work, and do not forget your clients. This plugin can be great. Users will pay for your work!
