# Is there any problem with https protocol?

 * Hi,
 * I’m running the latest version of WordPress, and tried GeoIP Detection with “
   Automatic download & update of Maxmind GeoIP Lite City”. I have also tried “HostIP.
   info Web-API” and “Manual download & update of a Maxmind City or Country database”
   and none seems to work.
 * This is what I get when I hit update with “Automatic download & update of Maxmind
   GeoIP Lite City” activated.

 * The website is running on Nginx 1.10.1 with php-fpm 7.0.10 with https ssl activated.
 * I have also tried the plugin with another website with the same configuration,
   but without ssl activated and it seems to work as it should.
 * Do you have any advice in this case? Thank you!

 * Ok,
 * So I have tried the plugin on another WordPress installation with http protocol
   on the same machine (Arch Linux ARM).
    I have also tried it on 2 other VPS’s 
   with CentOS and here it seems to be no problem.
 * Just curious what’s missing on the Arch Linux ARM installation that cause this
   problem.

 * Maybe the missing bit is the CACert Root Certificate? There was a update for 
   this in the upstream code, can you try out the current beta?
