# Is WordPress 3 compatible with PHP 5.3.5 ?

 * We are planning to switch to PHP 5.3 in our vps. It is supposed to be faster 
   and secure.
 * Our question is… WordPress 3 supports PHP 5.3?
 * Sorry if this has been asked before, we haven’t found any thread specifically
   for this.

 * You should be able to. I would scan trac.WordPress.org and see if anyone’s reported
   issues with the latest PHP.

 * We have upgraded to php 5.3.5 and all sites working fine.
 * Just we recompiled php-memcache again and that’s all. 🙂

    The ereg function has been deprecated !!!! It’s used in
   many pages ..
