# Is WordPress adding further posts?

 * I have noticed on Google when examining my site’s index that there appears to
   be several instances of the same post. For example, Google is returning results
   like this:
 * myblog.com/hello-everyone-in-the-world
    myblog.com/page/2 myblog.com/page/3
 * Is this normal in WordPress and could it lead to my blog been penalised by the
   search engines for having duplicate posts?
 * Any advice would be most appreciated.

 * The three results that you lists are unrelated. `myblog.com/hello-everyone-in-
   the-world` is a single post, `myblog.com/page/2` is the second page of posts,
   and `myblog.com/page/3` is the third page of posts.

 * Many thanks for your response.
 * However, I am a little confused. Both /page/2 and /page/3 are instances of /hello-
   everyone-in-the-world. I did not copy and publish these two instances.
 * Consequently, if they are unrelated but contain the same content, how were they
   created and published?
 * Could they be revisions requiring deletion from the database?

 * fishpondfilters.org.uk/the-specific-operation-of-fish-pond-filters
 * fishpondfilters.org.uk/page/2
 * fishpondfilters.org.uk/page/3
 * Though they share some content, each one is unique.
 * /page/3 displays the same post as /the-specific-operation-of-fish-pond-filters,
   but this is because it’s the third page in a list of posts. Once you add another
   post, you should see two posts on that page.
