# ISP recommendation

 * I am due to change my ISP and I am thinking about moving to WordPress also.
 * Does anyone have any ISP recommendations?

 * Do you mean hosting rather than ISP (internet service provider)? The latter really
   depends on what is available where you live.
 * There are the [WordPress recommended web hosts](http://wordpress.org/hosting/).
 * Personally, I prefer [Hostgator](http://www.hostgator.com/). They’re not the 
   cheapest host out there, but I have had a good experience with them over the 
   past several years for a number of clients. They provide cPanel access to a lot
   of things that come in handy with WordPress, and the PHP EZ-Config in cPanel 
   is activated on their servers, which makes it easy to tweak a custom php.ini.
 * You’ll find a lot of hosts offer “1-click installs” of WordPress or quick installations
   via Fantastico. The installation of WordPress is so easy I recommend doing it
   manually using the [handy guide](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress).
   Not only is it good experience, but I find that it is often more trouble-free
   than the automated installers.
