# Issue activating the plugin

 * Appear to be having an issue activation the plugin once installed. I am getting
   the warning ‘Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.’
   with the explanation of ‘Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/
   sites/g/[website url]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-listings/includes/class-
   listing-import.php on line 63

 * Your version of PHP does not support namespaces which causes this type of error.
   Contact your web host and have them update to at least PHP 5.4, with PHP 7 recommended.

 * PHP is set at 7.1 and has been when i’ve been trying to activate the plugin but
   the issue still occurs.
