# Error on activating plugin

 * I am using this plugin on multisite. For every site, when I activate the plugin,
   I get this error:
    WordPress database error Table ‘WORDPRESS_DEV.wp_x_maxbuttonsv3’
   doesn’t exist for query UPDATE wp_x_maxbuttonsv3 SET cache = NULL made by activate_plugin,
   do_action(‘activate_maxbuttons/maxbuttons.php’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook-
   >apply_filters, call_user_func_array, MaxButtonsmaxInstall::activation_hook, 
   MaxButtonsmaxInstall::activate_plugin, MaxButtonsmaxButton->reset_cache, wpdb-
   >print_error

 * That’s interesting. Does the plugin work after that error, or do you get this
   every time?

 * I am activating plugin per site. The plugin still works but every time I get 
   this error on activating the plugin on subsites.

 * I’ll put this on my list as a bug. The strange thing here is that the plugin 
   first checks and creates the database table, then runs the function you are having
   issues with. So I would assume your database user might not allow table creation.
   But if the plugin really works fine otherwise that can’t be it.
 * Let me know if you notice anything else.
