    Hi there,

This question spans a couple plugins, including this one, so I apologize if this is not the proper forum for it.

I’m using this plugin and also another WPMU DEV plugin (Pop-Up). I have the Pop-Up displaying a message to users who are not members or logged in. They are encouraged to register on a registration page setup by the Membership plugin (http://smartershift.com/energymix/register/?action=registeruser&subscription=1).

The problem is that because the registration page uses a URL with a parameter, it can not be excluded from the pop-up showing, but that pop-up prevents the user from registering.

I am hoping for one of the 3 solutions:

    1) Is there a way to change the URL structure for the registration page so the parameters are removed?

    2) Can the Pop-Up plugin accept the URL parameter somehow? (I’ve viewed support on this topic and although I’ve seen similar issues, but no solutions).

    3) I have considered using the Membership pop-up registration form, but there seems to be an issue with it (http://smartershift.com/energymix/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=buynow&subscription=1)

Thank you so much for your support – please let me know if you need any information from me. I’m hoping to get this working!

  • Hi there @yellowhippo,

Thanks for your questions! As those other questions have to do with our Pop Up plugin and I believe we’re assisting through that plugin’s forum, why don’t we tackle that Membership popover form here?

That page you linked to seems quite wrong. Could I ask if you’ve got the popover registration disabled currently?

It seems so as the registration is working as normal. Could you let me know what happens when you enable the popover registration?

Looking forward to getting this sorted with ya! 🙂

    Thanks,
    David

    Hi David!

Thank you for your reply. I do currently have the popover registration disabled, but even when it is enabled, it doesn’t look right. It was working properly at one point which leads me to believe I may have installed a plugin or added some code somewhere that it doesn’t like. However, I’ve been unable to figure out which of those the problem could be.

Good news is that I’ve figured out a solution to #1 – I added http://smartershift.com/energymix/register/.* to my URL condition and it has excluded the popup from showing up on that and all extensions of the URL.

Apologies if that was listed in the documentation somewhere. I saw that variable in the docs for the Membership plugin and thought it might work with the Pop-Up plugin since you guys developed it as well. Sure enough!!

I’ll make this as resolved – thank you again for your time.

    Hi @yellowhippo,

Oh that’s awesome, glad that URL feature helped. Sometimes we forget one of the many features available through the plugins, really glad you were able to find that regular expression feature though!

Thanks for posting that solution too, just let us know if there’s anything else we can help with. 🙂

    Thanks,
    David
