# Issue with wordpress.com

 * Hello, I’ve recently started making a website, so I decided to use wordpress 
   connected to CPanel with google domains. But the issue was I unknowingly started
   with wordpress.com instead of wordpress.org and made a site and tried to connect
   it to my domain. Now I switched my site to wordpress.org and installed into my
   CPanel and have been working on my site.
 * After redirecting my site so it went where I wanted I noticed that [http://www.ewddesigns.com](http://www.ewddesigns.com)
   worked fine how I wanted, but ewddesigns.com links me to the wordpress.com site
   that I deleted and deleted the account to. I checked the DNS and nothing is different
   from how it should be set up, and honestly I have no idea how this wordpress.
   com site is still on the domain. If anyone has had any prior experience with 
   it or knows how to remove it, I would really appreciate it.

 * Everything is directing to the self-hosted site for me.
 * When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation,
   where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers
   all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much
   less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may 
   also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”
 * If you still have trouble viewing the site after 24 hours have passed, please
   try clearing your browser’s cache: [http://www.refreshyourcache.com/](http://www.refreshyourcache.com/)
 * If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: [https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html](https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html)

 * It is working fine from here and I double checked the DNS records… they look 
   fine to me. It’s either some cache holding you up or a DNS delay. Wait it out
   a bit or ask your web host for help.
 * Once things settle down for you then you can follow these directions to make 
   your WordPress work from the ‘EWD’ directory as if it was installed in the web
