Issues displaying new feed items

    I’m having this issue on multiple sites.

    The feeds are importing correctly and I can see new feed items in the admin area. However, no matter how many times I refresh the page displaying the feeds, the new feed items do not appear.

    It doesn’t seem to be a browser caching issue because if I use incognito mode to load the same page, the new feed items are not displayed. Even loading the page on a new device that hasn’t yet visited the site, the new feed items are not displayed.

    I have tried turning off the caching plugin and the issue persists.

    I have found that if I manually delete 1 or more feed items, the page will refresh properly and show all of the new feed items.

    What is going on here?

    Hi @joeshmoeshow,

    It could be that there is a corrupt or broken feed item that causing this problem.

    You can try to enable your Debugging Mode to see if there is any displayed error when the feed items are not displayed.

    Let us know your findings.

    I enabled Debugging Mode and there were no displayed errors.

    If you look at the column on the right ‘CTV News’, there are 5 newer feed items that do not appear.

    Hi @joeshmoeshow,

    When we checked your http://cdnpol.com/ page, we can see the 5 latest feed items now:

    future dates

    Could it be that those 5 latest Feed Items have a future published dates when they were imported? So, since the date already passed, they are now displayed?

    Well, @joeshmoeshow, since the latest 5 feed items have now been displayed, does the problem still persist?

    Do you still have more recent Feed Items that are imported and can be seen in your WP Admin, but not on the site (front-end) itself?

    Yes it’s still an ongoing issue with all feeds.

    The missing new feed items will eventually show up but randomly – sometimes after 1 refresh, other times after several days to 1 week.

    We apologize for the delay in replying due to a high load in our premium support channel lately.

    In that case can you please turn off your caching plugin and let the WP RSS Aggregator running for a while until your feeds importing?

    We know that you have done this before:

    I have tried turning off the caching plugin and the issue persists.

    But can you please turn it off for a longer period to ensure that the caching plugin does not affect this problem at all?

    I’ve been playing around with the settings for the caching plugin and I think I’ve figured it out.

    I wish this guy would have stated his fix because I am having he exact same problem, even with the caching plugin totally disabled. On one web browser I was using last night it is showing last nights feeds, but on WordPress dashboard logged in and first time site viewing browsers it is showing the latest feed items. Can’t figure it out.

    Plugin settings for the RSS importer look good, and the feed items list show the new stuff. For some reason browsers seeing the site last night are retaining the old data, even if I flush their settings. (even Chrome in incognito)
