It does one thing really well

I like the way this app outputs an “installer.php” file which gives you a type GUI to view and run the install wizard and it unpacks your zip file, and populates your database; you get the option to encrypt the zip file with password, and also apply permutations to the key settings (change site url, db host, db user, db pass, path) which can search and replace those details if need be (very nice touch).

I used to use the full site backup, but with a big site, these days I tend to opt for database only and then pull my files using rsync -arv –update –update etc.

Still though – if you don’t have FTP/shell access this plug could get you through Sometimes you need to tweak you php.ini file to allow larger files / longer runtimes for big zip files. Well thought out ability to filter large files, large folders. etc. Can’t complain. One day I hope to shell out for a full version… when I am rich.:)
