# Item line header changes

 * We prefer an invoice item header line to say Qty Product Price, rather than Hrs/
   Qty Service Rate/Price. So what I have done is change the PHP coding for these
   fields in these 2 files. admin/includes/sliced-admin-options.php line 1014,1023&
   1032 and includes/templates-tags/sliced-tags-display-modules.php lines 164.165&
   166 in both cases I have not changed the class names just the Default values.
   
   Can Sliced Invoices change these header titles depending on whether the entry
   is a Quote or an Invoice? WE will probably never use the Quote option. My concern
   is that any new release of SlicedInvoices will wipe out my changes and I will
   have to make those coding changes again.

 * I don’t recommend ever changing the plugin source code. Almost anything you want
   to change can be done safely via hooks and filters, and this is really the only
   good way to make modifications.
 * However in this case none of the above is even necessary… there is a feature 
   that allows you to change those header labels, and it’s built right into to the
   free plugin. Just go to the Translate tab under Sliced Invoices / Settings, and
   you can change them to whatever you want. 🙂
 * We also have an [Easy Translate extension](https://slicedinvoices.com/extensions/easy-translate/)
   which adds many more fields to the translate tab, besides just the ones you mentioned.
