itheme security blocking API for another plugin

I have OIOPublisher plugin on my website and have been trying to enter the API key however it keeps coming back with error message – Unable to complete request. Does your site use any security measures that might block incoming requests?

I’m assuming that itheme security is perhaps blocking this however can’t see where I can change settings to allow the OIOPublisher API key request to complete?
