Having issues w/ getting popup to close under the condition of submitting a successful form.

Was unable to do it with either contact form 7 or ninja forms and their respective JS from your website.

Also, is it possible to create a link to close the form that appears in the form’s success message? I can get the button / link to appear using the short-codes, however they do not function.

Or, if there is another solution to this. I basically need to be able to close the popup once a form has been submitted, without the option to close without agreeing / submitting form info.

    Thanks!

Sorry you’re having an issue with this functionality, I’m sure we can get this resolved.

First, what form builder are you using? The process is different, depending on your form plugin.

Second, can you please provide a link, and what has to be done to trigger your popup?

    Thanks for your patience.

I am having the same issue – I am using gravity forms – the website url is

    Thank You

    Using Ninja Forms now

Popup appears on this page, as soon as page is loaded: http://globalfundreg.com/the-deal/

    Thanks!

This is slosek’s thread, per WP Guidelines, please create your own thread. Having said that, it may be the same issue, but having a different form builder makes all the difference. Have you tried the code here? This will work with Auto Open, Exit Intent, and Scroll Triggers, and if you’re using Click Open Trigger, then address that issue in your thread.

Again, please create your response in a new thread so we can deliver the best support possible.

    Thanks so much.

Would you mind pasting the code for Ninja Forms you are using to close the form? Also, please describe how you implemented the code on your site as lined out in our Getting Started with Custom JS Doc?

I’m going to have our Lead Dev @danieliser take a look as soon as he is available.

If you’re using NF3+, that code will not work. If you have less than v3, then it should work, and we can continue with the troubleshooting process.

In NF3+, this just got a whole lot easier – we now have some specific functionality within NF to close our popup on form submit!

    1. Edit your form
    2. Click the Emails & Actions Tab
    3. Click the “+” in the bottom right corner
    4. Click the Close Popup Item
    5. Click Done
    6. Click Publish
    7. Refresh on the front end and check it out

Let us know if that works for you.

    @slosek

Also, you could skip the Close Popup Item, and do a Open Popup, and then create a specific “Thank You” popup.

If you just go with the Close Popup, then the user won’t really get a type of “confirmation”. But, that is totally up to you, just wanted to throw that out there.
