 * Javascript validation isn’t working when “Use JavaScript Support?” option is
   selected. Instead, the page reloads before seeing validation. I’ve checked and
   console and don’t see any javascript errors. Any thoughts?

 * Hey studiopie,
 * Thanks for posting! Mind sharing a link to your site so I can test it out? Also,
   what theme do you currently use on that site?
 * Looking forward to hearing back!

 * Hi Garnet,
 * The site is [jamesandnina.com](http://jamesandnina.com), and it’s a child theme
   based on [Independent Publisher](http://independentpublisher.me/).
 * Thanks for the reply!

 * Thanks, James!
 * I tested out the form on that page, and I see where it refreshes then shows the
   validation. I also ran some tests on my site with that same theme, but I wasn’t
   able to replicate the issue.
 * To further investigate, can you reply with a hosted screenshot of the plugin’s
   settings as they appear in your dashboard? Everything contained in the ‘Content
   Options’, ‘Remove MailChimp CSS’, and ‘List Options’ boxes would be helpful.
   Be sure to obscure any personal account details before sharing 🙂
 * Additionally, did you make any changes to this plugin’s code? I also noticed
   in the source code of that page that there were two instances of the MailChimp
   List Subscribe Form plugin code- would it be possible to remove the unused instance
   to see if that helps?
 * I’ll keep an eye out for further replies from you!
 * Best,
    Garnet

 * Hi Garnet,
 * Good call! There are indeed two instances of the plugin’s code, because the widgets
   are being loaded twice — once in the header widget area, and again in the hamburger-
   activated widget area. When I tried removing the hamburger widget area, it solved
   the issue.
 * Huh, any thoughts on how to make it work when loaded twice? I noticed that the
   inline validation always works in the hamburger widget area, which is probably
   because it’s the first to load.
 * Thanks,
    James

 * Awesome! Glad that fixed it up 🙂
 * If you want to have two instances of your signup form but avoid JS/form submission
   issues, the easiest way would be to use the widget in combination with a different
   form. One thing you could try is using the widget in one area and the embedded
   signup form in the other. If you need to get a hold of your embed code, this
   article from MailChimp’s knowledge base breaks that down: Add a Signup Form to
   Your Website: [http://eepurl.com/b2Q-zf](http://eepurl.com/b2Q-zf)
 * Otherwise, you can look into some custom coding options. This solution would
   be better suited for a developer to help out with. MailChimp has compiled a list
   of experts-for-hire that might be a good start if you don’t already have one
   on staff: [https://experts.mailchimp.com/](https://experts.mailchimp.com/)
 * Thanks again for posting! Let us know if you need anything else.
