 * Being new to web development, new to wordpress, but not new to the internet,
   I have a question:
Why is javascript considered to be so evil? What are the
compatibility issues with it? I’ve never had any problem with javascript issues,
that I can remember. Why should it be avoided?

 * It’s not evil, but some people have their browsers set to not run any scripting,
so if you depend on js presenting your site, or for it to work, then it won’t
   for them.

 * No, by all means, I want and need feedback. The category markers are images,
not the story titles. I did that just to add some color to the site, so perhaps
I should add the text as well.
I want to do the navbar as .css, but I’ve had
a lot of difficulty getting it to work. The horizontal positioning is what’s
   killing me.

 * Well if you are getting into horizontal css rollovers you’ve obviously consulted
   the gurus at [listamatic.](http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/index.htm)

 * Yeah, I have. I want to do something like this:
for the navbar at the top. I’m just having a bad time with positioning. The nav
bar on the organizations page is a modified version of some code from their page.
Accessibility is a key concern for me – not for mobile computing platforms and
such, but for technophobes with standard browsers.
