# Javascript woes

 * I am running a node.js server on my system that enables web-based telnet connections
   to my system.
    I’m struggling to get the code correctly applied to WordPress.
   It works just fine if I run the code from a local html file in Windows.
 * Any thoughts would be appreciated.

 * The simplest way to add JavaScript code to WordPress is using the [Insert Headers and Footers plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/).

 * The problem ended up being mixed content (https/http) on the same page.
    I moved
   the http content to a different virtual host and now it works as designed.
