# Jetpack invalid_client plugin re-activation error

 * When I try to activate Jetpack on a site, I get the following error:
 * Invalid request, please go back and try again.
    Error Code: invalid_client Error
   Message: Unknown client_id.

 * I’ve zapped the local wp_options rows and tried various judo but can’t seem to
   re-connect. From the only [other](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/jetpack-social-media-sharing-icons-not-showing-up)
   [threads](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-restoring-jetpack-stats)
   on the topic this appears to be something on the WordPress.com side, perhaps 
   my site villagelife.com needs to be manually disconnected.
