For some reason, ever since I made the site, it refuses to generate sitemaps.
I turn the option to generate sitemaps off and then turn it back on but it still gives me a 404 whenever I try to access the xml files.
I’d leave it to generate for a day or more and it still wouldn’t show up.
Eventually, I managed to get the site indexed by Google through the Google Search Console but I want other search engines to be able to index my site.
Is this a problem from your side or mine?
I have no plug-ins installed besides Jetpack and Akismet Anti-Spam.

  • Hello, there.

I checked on bittersoupsubs.anidex.moe, but it appears that Jetpack has not been installed properly.

Would you be able to try the following exact steps for me?

    1. From the wp-admin dashboard of your site, please go to Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > “Manage site connection” from your left-hand menu.

    2. Click the “Disconnect” button. If it’s already disconnected, you can skip to the next step.

    3. Deactivate your Jetpack plugin by heading to Plugins > Installed Plugins and finding “Jetpack by WordPress.com.”

    4. Completely uninstall Jetpack.

    5. Reinstall the newest version of Jetpack.

    6. Activate Jetpack.

    7. In Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > “Manage site connection,” Click the “Set up Jetpack” button and continue through the approval process.

Please let us know once it is connected and we can help troubleshoot from there, thanks!
