# Jetpack on Localhost

 * Hi, I have made a local install of wordpress for testing purposes.
 * One of the things I intend to test is the carousel module. I happen to see that
   there is no “slideshow” option available for the gallery (in fact no options,
   just the default thumbnails that triggers the carousel).
 * Is it necessary to connect to WordPress.com to have this feature enabled? Or 
   is there something else I’m missing?
