• We had a blog that was hosted on joomla platform. We asked the network that was hosting us to provide us a backup file for all of the articles we wrote in our 3 years with them.

They provided us with a 6mb file: wizardsextremebackup.sql

How can I get this uploaded to our new site so that we don’t lose all the articles we had previously written?

    Thanks in advance!

  • You can’t import a Joomla database backup into a WordPress site. Is the old Joomla site still up & running?

no, unfortunately due to some bad relations we took the site offline before we could do any sort of transfer. When i asked the hosts for a backup file, they provided me with the sql file.

Then I’m sorry but I don’t think there’s much you can do. 🙁
