 * Hello,
 * I have a problem with my .js caches
 * the folder grows without limit and over a week I can easily have thousands of
   files. I have to empty it over and over again.
 * I asked the question to the premium support of the plugin (because I have the
   paid version) but I didn’t get an answer.
 * So I come here to ask you for help.
 * Could someone help me?
 * Best regards,

 * it’s a shame not to have support, considering that I pay a very expensive license
   for this plugin.

 * [@docteurfitness](https://wordpress.org/support/users/docteurfitness/) thank
   you for the reminder and my apologies if your initial support ticket was missed.
   You sent two support tickets (under the same name) and both were answered. There’s
   no ticket related to the problem (too many JS files) you mentioned. Someone,
   it wasn’t sent properly, perhaps due to a system error when you sent it, which
   is very unusual. As it took longer than usual to get back to you here, I’ll extend
   your plugin license so you can use it for a longer time (until you might decide
   to renew it) as an apology.
 * Now, in regards to the problem you mentioned, I strongly believe (I’ve noticed
   this before, it’s rare, but it happens once in a while) that there’s a non-unique
   character in one of those single files added to the main combined file, that
   makes the plugin create a new combined JS file on every page load, thus increasing
   the number of files and kind of defeating the purpose of using the combine JS
   feature, which, frankly, is not such a thing anymore, since the HTTP/2 protocol
   is in use.
 * Now, can you please use a service such as Dropbox (or any other you may prefer)
   and add a ZIP file there with the contents of _/wp-content/cache/asset-cleanup/_?
   I want to investigate those files. Based on the print screen you sent me, the
   large one has 260664 bytes. So, for sure, the problem is the one I believe it
   is 😉 We’ll sort it out! What you need to do is exclude the culprit single file
   from being added to the combination file.

 * Thanks for the license extension 🙂
 * Here is the .zip file with already 108 files (I deleted the thousands in stock
   this morning).

 * [@docteurfitness](https://wordpress.org/support/users/docteurfitness/) indeed,
   there are duplicated files (quite a few) having the same content. I’ve released
   a patch that should avoid this problem. Please check your email (the one you
   used to make the Pro purchase) and let me know your feedback after you replace
   the version you have with the patched one.
 * As for those using the Lite version and have the same problem, a patch has been
   applied to the development version for now (until a new tag will be released).
   Please get it and hopefully, this problem will be gone: [https://www.assetcleanup.com/docs/how-to-get-the-development-version-of-asset-cleanup/](https://www.assetcleanup.com/docs/how-to-get-the-development-version-of-asset-cleanup/)

 * Thank you very much, it’s perfect! I no longer have endless copies of .js being
   created.
 * Good job !
