# JS Validation bug

 * Steps to reproduce:
    1) Add New 2) Check ‘Do not send email (only collect signatures)’
   3) Fill in remaining fields 4) Click ‘Create Petition’ 5) Notice the error message‘
   Error: Please correct the highlighted fields.’ 6) Uncheck ‘Do not send email (
   only collect signatures)’ 7) Notice the highlighted field is ‘CC Email’

   a bit wonky. I will get to it ASAP.

 * Yes, curious as to why you didn’t opt for registering custom post type and using
   WordPress post edit screen but rather went a custom route instead.

 * I didn’t create the plugin. It was useful and needed work but had been abandoned,
   so I forked it and have made significant improvements on what was already there.

 * Found it. Fixed in 1.12.1
 * There were a couple of logic errors, most important one was that the error was
   thrown if the field was empty, which it obviously is if only collecting signatures.
