 * I am using the JSON API User plugin ( [https://wordpress.org/plugins/json-api-user/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/json-api-user/))
   to send email password resets, new user emails, etc. When using this with BNFW,
   so far I have tested that the “Lost Password – For User” emails do not get sent.

 * Hi [@petebocken](https://wordpress.org/support/users/petebocken/),
    Thanks for
   your message.
 * A similar question was posted just the other day which you might find useful:

 * How are you triggering the Lost Password – For User notifications? Is it via
   the JSON API plugin or is it when a user clicks the link on the login page?
 * Thanks,
    Jack

 * Yes, it is through the JSON API Plugin

 * Hi [@petebocken](https://wordpress.org/support/users/petebocken/),
    It would
   appear that you’d need to use the official REST API in WordPress 4.7 (at which
   point they’ll enable authentication) for this to work. I don’t think the way
   they’ve implemented a custom HTTP API in the JSON API plugin will work with BNFW.
 * Hope this helps somewhat.
 * Thanks,
    Jack
