JSON error with coupons

    Hello!

    I’m getting a “SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input” error when I have a coupon loaded in the cart, when trying to advance to the gateway payment page. Once I remove the coupon it works normally.

    Any ideas of what might be happening? Below my status report

    Hi there 👋

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

    First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.

    Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    Hello Gabriel, thanks for your answer.

    I did everything you mentioned above and still got the error. Then I found out the problem is within my gateway, I use a Brazilian one called pagseguro. I switched to paypal and it worked! I opened up a ticket with them twice and they’re denying it’s their fault but now there are no more excuses.

    Is it possible to trace this error, printing the php file/line with the error message shown on the page?

    Glad to know that you could find the culprit.

    For errors, you can look at the WooCommerce Error Logs, found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available), or you could also enable your WordPress error logs to see if you can see this error within that file.

    Since this is not related to the WooCommerce Core plugin, I will mark this as resolved.

    Hopefully, you will find a solution to your problem!

    Funny thing is that no errors appear on the log, from both woocommerce and the gateway.
