# JSON error with embed

 * I am attempting to embed a TimeMap in my Modern theme using HTML iFrame. I get
   the following error: “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.”
   I have deactivated all plugins.
 * Here is the HTML: <iframe src=”[http://timemapper.okfnlabs.org/brucejacobson/123?embed=1&#8243](http://timemapper.okfnlabs.org/brucejacobson/123?embed=1&#8243);
   frameborder=”0″ style=”border: none;” width=”100%” height=”780;”></iframe>
 * I am able to embed a TimeMap using the Sinatra theme on another site ([http://2020.historytrust.org/sandbox/4374-2/](http://2020.historytrust.org/sandbox/4374-2/)).
 * Any suggestions?
 * P.S. I love the Modern theme and hope to continue using it!

 * Thank you, I’m glad you like the theme.
 * Please note that this is not a theme issue. You should be able to test this by
   activating a different theme on the website you have issues with.
 * If the JSON error is within the iframe, I suggest checking your iframe code and/
   or the permissions from provider of the code (maybe you haven’t granted permissions
   to display the iframe on your domain?).
 * If the issue persist, please provide URL to actual affected page with the iframe
   so I can check personally and provide more tips.
