    Hello @hpr78,

Thanks for reporting this, and I’m sorry to hear about the unexpected results!

From what I see, you have excluded the JSON file format, but you are still seeing notifications in your email reports about these file changes, is that correct?

To better understand what’s happening, could you please help me confirm a few details:

    1. Are JSON files excluded in your scan settings? They should be excluded by default – here’s a reference screenshot of the settings for clarity:
    2. How exactly were these entries generated? For example, were the files added, removed, modified, or did their permissions change? Since the plugin tracks all of these, knowing what kind of change triggered the report will help.
    3. Could you share a screenshot of your plugin settings page (just that page, no sensitive site data admin.php?page=file-monitor-settings&tab=scanning-preferences )? This will help us see how things are currently configured on your end.
    4. Can you try a quick test for me on a different site folder, as for example wp-content/uploads -> ensure that JSON files are excluded (see 1. above), then add two new JSON files, run the scan, will they be reported? remove one and modify the contents of the other, rescan, do you still see the same?

Looking forward to your update so we can investigate further if this is an actual bug.

    Many thanks!
