# JSON-LD or MICRODATA

 * Hi! Now markup is displayed through JSON-LD. And that’s great! But I wish I could
   choose to display the markup through microdata. Is it possible to realize this?
 * kk star ratings and wp-postratings – they put the markup through microdata ([https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/review-snippet](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/review-snippet)).

 * Is there any particular reason you want to use microdata instead of json? Google
   recommends json [https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/intro-structured-data](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/intro-structured-data).
 * The thing is that microdata makes the code messy and I really don’t want to go
   there 🙂 unless there is a very good reason for it.

 * Hi! Yes I agree. Google loves more json. But the joy is that the world is not
   alone Google. For example, there is a search engine Yandex. And he does not understand
   now json. I do not know what the situation is Bing, Yahoo.
    But it would be perfect
   if we could choose the appropriate option or microdata or json

 * Hmm, I checked and it seems that both Bing/Yahoo and Yandex support JSON-LD.

 * Hi! Support for markup in the validator and its support in the search engine 
   itself are two different things.I do not know how to Bing, but Yandex search 
   engine does not support today LD+JSON. Perhaps the same situation with bing. 
   Therefore, it is always great to have alternatives.
