  • I’m seeing this warning in my install as well. Why is it showing a PHP warning even with WP DEBUG disabled??? Annoying!

    Hi @musicinme,

    Thanks for sharing the warning.

The warning Failed to open stream: Operation not permitted suggests there may be an issue with the permission levels on your site’s root-level folder or with the specific php.ini file.
As a first step, could you please reach out to your host to check further on this for you? Let us know if they confirm that permission levels are okay, we’d like to explore other possibilities that may cause the issue.

@drumbrent, thanks for your report as well, but kindly let’s handle the two requests separately. Could you open a new thread here for your request – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce-square/#new-topic-0 ?

    Hi @musicinme

    Fixed by upgrading PHP version.

I’m happy to see that you managed to fix the issue by upgrading your PHP version! It’s a common fix for warnings like the one you encountered, as older PHP versions can sometimes clash with certain plugins or features.

Just a quick tip for the future: always keep your PHP version updated. This is not only for compatibility but also for security and performance.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. However, if you ever have more questions or issues in the future, don’t hesitate to kick off a new topic.

Hope you have a fantastic day!
