 * I have placed the chips widget in the widget area of my knowledge base (Echo
   Knowledge Base), and I have my filter group in ACF and added it to filter everything
   as a filter set (I can see all my filters/options in the filter widget so it
   appears to be functional). And I have verified that items are selected within
   the fields; however the widgets do not show in my knowledge base. (Post type
   is set to the KB post)
 * Is this an issue with compatibility with my KB plugin? Or do I need the pro version
   to have it appear on my KB pages?
   Use case: to create a wiki for my writing as
   well as a support center for my online store
 * Thank you.

 * Hi @charmedchicken
 * Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
 * Let’s try to simplify it to make it less confusing.
    1. Do you have a third-party plugin named KB?
    2. Does this plugin create its CPT (custom post type) named knowledge base?
    3. On which KB plugin pages, you are trying to display filters? Are those archive
       pages? Or some type of custom pages?
    4. Does your plugin display posts via WP_Query on the page? Or does it use any
       other way?

 * Hi,
 * I’ve reached out to the KB plugin’s support to get your answer about WP_Query,
   though my guess is that yes, that’s how the plugin works. Will update when I
   hear. Let me try to answer your other questions.
   1) Yes, the plugin is Echo Knowledge
   Base available here in the repository. I am using the free version.2) I believe
   it does. See the filter screen image listed below where the post type says Kit’s_wiki3)
   The filter will display in the sidebar of the individual article pages. See the
   link and the screen image provided. I have placed the filters widget in the kb
   sidebar widget area. (See screen image)Example page where the widget should appear
   in the sidebar: [https://kitauthor.com/wiki/sonia-morales/?seq_no=2](https://kitauthor.com/wiki/sonia-morales/?seq_no=2)

 * Hi [@charmedchicken](https://wordpress.org/support/users/charmedchicken/)
 * Can you please send the link to the free version of this KB plugin? So we can
   try to test it on our end.

 * Hi [@charmedchicken](https://wordpress.org/support/users/charmedchicken/)
 * We have tested a bit of this plugin, so what it does is create its custom singular
   page named “Knowledge Base” – [https://i.imgur.com/P8HHRTG.png](https://i.imgur.com/P8HHRTG.png)
 * So the Free version of the out plugin won’t work with it, as it is working only
   with archive pages.
 * What we could filter with the default settings from the KB plugin and PRO version
   of our plugin is the posts in those 3 columns – [https://i.imgur.com/z78gVpf.png](https://i.imgur.com/z78gVpf.png)
 * Of course it depend how you will cofigure the displaying of them.

 * To clarify, would it filter only what is showing up in those boxes or ALL knowledge
   base articles?
   And the filter widget would show up in the KB sidebar if that’s
   where it’s placed in Appearance > Widgets.And this is something you could help
   me with if I purchase a pro license?My use case would be that one of my fields
   is book title, so if they chose that filter, they would get all wiki articles
   with that title checked in the book field as an example. Thank you.

 * Hi @charmedchicken
 * In the free version of this plugin KB, only the elements highlighted in red are
   filtered – [https://i.imgur.com/YpnV8AL.png](https://i.imgur.com/YpnV8AL.png)

 * Thanks. I’m not seeing anything in the pro version of Echo KB that would allow
   me to do what I need to do so I may need to go in a different direction. Unfortunately
   their support was less than helpful when I reached out. (I’ve never heard back
   from my questions.) I really appreciate all the time you put into this. Thanks.

 * If you’re familiar with this plugin – [https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/)–
   it will help you create your CPT and taxonomy for it. And with a little knowledge
   of PHP, you won’t even need any plugins. Just write your own WP_Query with needed
   HTML template and CSS styles to display your posts the way you want. Of course,
   it will take a bit more time, but in the end, you can create anything you want
   from it.
 * Best Regards – Victor
