# Lacking a "validate_password_reset" hook

 * The copy/pasted authentication code in Theme My Login is now quite out-of-date.
   I already raised an issue about [user_activation_keys](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/serious-bug-preventing-password-reset-user_activation_key-is-hashed-as-of-wp37).
 * The lack of the validate_password_reset hook which was introduced in 3.5 is causing
   compatibility problems with a plugin I’m using that ensures user passwords are
   longer than a certain number of characters.
