Language Input Issue

    Hello

    I am assessing this plugin’s functionality as a speech-to-text chatbot, using languages other than English. (e.g.: French) I have enabled Settings>Chatbot>Webspeech API>Speech recognition

    While the text-inputted content is recognised, the speech-inputted content is either not recognised or is re-created as a phonetic example of the content.

    Can you please advise?

    Hello @ion7 ,

    AI Engine uses the SpeechRecognition interface of the Web Speech API. Currently, in AI Engine, the “lang” setting isn’t customizable and it’s unspecified. So it will default to the language set in the HTML lang attribute, or to the language setting of the user’s device if that’s not specified either.

    So if you speak French it might ouput something that sounds like it in english.
