# Language selector plugin

 * Hi guys !
 * I have a bilingual website, domain.com for English (default version) and domain.
   com/fr for French.
 * When people visit my homepage, they all land on the English version by default
   and can switch to French using the WPML (WordPress multilingual) plugin language
   switcher in the menu. But most people from France don’t even search for it and
   leave.
 * I’m looking for a plugin that detects a users location and suggests them to go
   to the local version of the store, if there’s one, in this case, users from France
   only. One example is aboutyou. When I go to aboutyou.de (Germany), it asks me
   if I want to stay there, or go to the French store aboutyou.fr based on my location.
 * Can anyone recommend a plugin? I contacted WPML and they said they don’t have
   this feature, only automatic redirect, but that conflicts with the Google crawler.
 * Hope someone can help !

 * To enable browser language redirect, go to **WPML** → **Languages** page, and
   find the **Browser language redirect**.

 * I don’t want to use the automatic redirect actually, but showing a popup for 
   users (from France only) to choose whether they’d like to stay on the EN version,
   or go to FR.
 * Same as aboutyou company is doing at aboutyou.de and aboutyou.fr etc.
