    Is there a variable to check for the installed language? The codex mentions
   WPLANG, but that doesn’t seem to exists in my install of WP 2.0 (possibly because
   I have it installed using English).

 * Okay, the WP codex said the WPLANG global was in wp-settings.php, but I found
   it in wp-config.php.
