 * I have had a problem with Siteground cache growing to 7GB
 * This is what their support have written to me – it makes no sense to me – does
   it to you?
 * Is there anything I/we can do about it?
 *     ```wp-block-code
       Hello Andrew,

       Thank you for contacting our Help Desk.

       I checked the folder and most of the space grows due to the events:

       baseos | ebps.org.uk | u1381-bx9tztwik6aq@uk41.siteground.eu:~/www/ebps.org.uk/public_html/wp-content/cache/sgo-cache/ebps.org.uk-d9c117dad460315b9dc639be037129af:55M events7.1M pagebaseos | ebps.org.uk | u1381-bx9tztwik6aq@uk41.siteground.eu:~/www/ebps.org.uk/public_html/wp-content/cache/sgo-cache/ebps.org.uk-d9c117dad460315b9dc639be037129af/events/list/page:8.2M 77.5M 66.6M 85.8M 54.2M 94.2M 43.9M 33.5M 21.4M 10

       Here many html files are generated, probably something in the event calendar plugin:

       <script src="https://ebps.org.uk/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/resources/js/views/datepicker.min.js?ver=6.2.9" id="tribe-events-views-v2-datepicker-js"></script>

       I cna suggest you check with them if they have any suggestion on what may caused the files to be generated, you can also download and provide them with the html files:

       ```
 * Hello [@andrewleonard](https://wordpress.org/support/users/andrewleonard/),
 * Thanks for getting in touch with us.
 * The issue seems to be related to caching activities when the plugin is being
   used. I checked the datepicker (the directory mentioned) but I wasn’t able to
   notice any caching – [https://www.loom.com/share/b0d8823eabef428197ae38a1ce31bd17](https://www.loom.com/share/b0d8823eabef428197ae38a1ce31bd17).
   It looks like it happens intermittently.
 * To resolve the issue, ask your hosting provider to exclude our CSS and JS files
   from getting cached both from their plugin and on the server-level. Refer to –
   [https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/siteground-optimizer/](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/siteground-optimizer/).
 * I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need anything else.
 * Thank you for your help
 * I did the bit you can do (excluding URLs) the other bit looked horrendous and
   frightenning so I gave that a miss. Siteground said they think that should work
   and I ought to monitor the size of my website. I don’t think they want to amend
   their drop down list…
