• i put megaslider into my static home page spanning the width of the sidebar and main text. there’s a space between the bottom of the slider and the top of the sidebar/main area of about 120px (it was twice that, but it decreased when i put

    .metaslider .flexslider {
        margin-bottom: 0 !important;
    }

    into the css).

    i tried disabling all the other plugins, but that didn’t affect it. i’m building the site locally, so i don’t have a link, but i’m happy to copy/paste any code.

    using a theme from tielabs called sahifa; have version 3.3 of metaslider.

    thanks in advance for any help. (please keep in mind that i’ve only been using wp for a few weeks, so feel free to treat me like an idiot.)

  • Hi there,

    It’s difficult to tell what’s causing the issue without being able to look at the HTML/CSS.

    Are you able to host the site or get back to us when you have?

    Many thanks,
    Dave

    i won’t be uploading the site for a while. (i’d like to get this sorted before i upload–if i can get the layout to work, i want to buy the pro version and get fancy.) i can send you a copy of the css and the page’s code, though. is there an email address i can send it to? it’s a lot to paste here.

    thanks!

    it finally occurred to me that i could put the code on gdrive and give you a link (duh).

    i put in the css and the page html, and tossed in the header.php just for fun. thanks again.

    added a screen shot of the slider–there’s a bunch of white space below it when i preview it.
