Last ‘n’ posts?

    What I wanna be able to do, is have a list of the last ‘n’ post titles on a sidebar. And I know that the get_archives tag would do this, however, I want more fine grain control over it then what that would give me.
    Anyone have a suggestion on how I could do something like: <date><time>:<post title> of the last 14 posts?

    Aside from setting the number of archive titles to be displayed, is this the same as setting the ‘postbypost’ option in the admin panel?

    I tried to implement this (actually came to the board looking for info on how to do so) and get the following error when I add that code to WP 0.72
    Parse error: parse error in index.php
    Any ideas?

    Hi, along with that message there should be some more information as to what is going wrong. At least there should be a line number.
    Could you give more details, please?

    Sorry, that was my anonymous post above. I had another look at it and realize that I hadn’t closed the line properly, working great now, thanks!
