Last version breaks Markdown Jetpack module’s functionality

Hello, last version of the plugin breaks Markdown Jetpack module in Classic Editor. This module saves Markdown version of the content in post_content_filtered field. When Remove Special Characters From Permalinks is activated, it’s the HTML version that is saved in the field. So Markdown is lost. The problem did not occurred in previous version to my opinion.

Sorry for the long delay.
I’ll run some tests, but in theory, I’m just changing the post slug, not the content.
Can you please send me some screenshot so I can understand it better?

Are you trying to free or the pro plugin?

Well, screenshots won’t be any help 🙂 I use the free version. I just made a test in WP 5.6 on a test site and the problem still occurs.

What to do to observe the problem:

1. install Jetpack. Activate Markdown functionality.
2. install Classic Editor Install Remove Special Characters From Permalinks
3. create a post in HTML view with some Markdown. Like

## This is a title
**Strong** test.
```
Save the content. And it will changed to HTML.
```
<h2>This is a title</h2>

<strong>Strong</strong> test.
```
It should not be changed so you can edit your content in Markdown.
