# Latest Posts block mod

 * Hi,
    Can someone please help me modify the latest post block widget? -I would
   like to have it display thumbnails and post title instead of just the post title(
   default setting) -I would like to have it added automatically at the end of each
   post. -I would like to filter it by category for different posts.

 * It is not recommended to modify WordPress core files. Every update you will lose
   your changes. You will need to find or create a plugin. This should be asked 
   in the Developing with WordPress forum.
