New update to ShortCodes Ultimate breaks SiteOrigin PageBuilder – when editing posts they now open in the default visual editor and if you make/save any changes, all ShortCodes Ultimate and PageBuilder formatting is lost.

If you convert to PageBuilder – everting is complied into one row/widget and all formatting ShortCodes and PageBuilder formatting is lost.

  • If this happens in the future, you can try uninstalling the plugin and then manually installing it via FTP. This won’t remove the shortcodes from your pages, but will more than likely delete any custom CSS you have in the plugin settings – so save it!

When SU has broken the page builder for me (standard page builder – and it’s happened twice) doing this has fixed it. Also, be sure to NOT manually upload with any custom templates present within the plugin’s files, so just download the new zip from the plugin page and upload it as-is, then place any custom files back in their intended folders.
