  • Same, but oddly enough, it happened on a site that I have 2 exact duplicate copies of, and it didn’t happen on either copy.

It seems to be tripping over an IP number in the DB. So far, I have not found a way to proceed other than disabling Shield.

Is this occurring in the logs intermittently, or all the time?

I’ve got a site that broke. I got the WordPress 5.2-notification and the culprit was Shield Security (versie 16.1.2).

Deactivating brought the site back up. Not in recovery mode anyore this warning turned up:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function containsRange() on null in /home/xxxx/public_html/site/wp-content/plugins/wp-simple-firewall/src/lib/vendor/fernleafsystems/wordpress-services/src/Utilities/IpUtils.php:43

Other sites that use Shield seem unaffected.

Hey guys, I’ve provisionaly released 16.1.3:
    https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/wp-simple-firewall.16.1.3.zip

Could you try that on the sites that were affected, please? I wanted to get this out quickly to you to try, as we’re doing some final testing on our side before we’re happy with making it fully public.

Thanks, Paul, for the quick response. Confirmed that your latest release fixes the issue. It was weird, out of many, many sites only a few had this issue.
