Latest update crashed site with Fatal error: Cannot redeclare gettext() in /data02/minews/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/includes/deprecated.php on line 50
Renamed rss-agggregator to recover site, disbled all othe plugins, returned rss-aggregator names to original and warned that I cannot activate the plugin
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error: Cannot redeclare gettext() in /data02/minews/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/includes/deprecated.php on line 50

@minews2 Kindly make sure that you have version 4.13.2 installed. The error you are reporting is most likely from the previous version.

As per e-mail, the error persists with 4.13.2 with no other Plugins on a standard Canvas theme. Needs fixing!

Still not fixed Miguel. Cleared cache etc. Please address this issue urgently.
Error message now reads
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 61341696) (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /data02/minews/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1889

Hi @minews2, the original error your reported cannot be caused by the latest version. The code mentioned in the error (wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator/includes/deprecated.php on line 50) does not exist anymore.

It’s possible that a failed update has resulted in some code from the previous version to persist on your site. We kindly ask that you deactivate the plugin, delete it and re-download it. Don’t worry – this will not cause you to lose your settings.

Just done that – made no difference – same error code. Could it be the Excerpts and Thumbnails?

Suddenly started working after re-enabling Excerpts and Thumbnails. Now have a problem accessing feed sources, which I have posted on another thread
