# Layout help

 * Hi there, i am trying to change the homepage with no luck, i want the homepage
   to have blog in two columns pagination on a 3 column layout, possibly have vertical
   column and horizontal.
    i would like to use categories to post in different pages,
   with shortcodes here the sample of the site i like. [http://www.factmag.com/](http://www.factmag.com/)

 * Thanks for the advice, however am a webdesigner learning php and wordpress, my
   question is can create a static front page and use Html with divs to create box
   sections showing content from other pages from same site?

 * without a plugin and shortcodes, this should be possible by creating a page template
   with the corresponding coding, i.e. custom queries;
