    Hello!

We have a problem with the 7 day trial period for our subscriptions on https://freedmond.ro/curs-online. The theme we use is IvyPrep and we also use the Membership Pro module for Learnpress. The problem is that at the time of purchasing a subscription, the payment is taken directly from the card when we apply a discount code, instead of being given 7 free days, and only then to take the money from the card with the redemption included in the code. Can you tell us how to set discount codes so that they work properly? In the sense that the customer buys a subscription that includes 7 days free, and after buying it using the discount code, to have 7 days free and then to take the money from the card with a discount after the period of 7 days? Can you help us please? Thank you!

    Hi @dobrelena

Thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

A trial only affects a recurring payment and not the initial payment amount. In your discount code, please can you ensure that you set the initial price to $0 and create a 7 day trial. This should resolve your issue by the sounds of it.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Hello!

I have made the necessary settings, they are attached. Now when I purchase I get the money directly from the card, but with a discount. Normally it should take the money with the discount after the 7 days. Is there another setting?

    My setting are these: https://freedmondcursuri.bluejayconcept.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/settings-paid-memberships-pro.jpg

This should not charge any amount during checkout, unless there is custom code that may be filtering the price of some sort and looks setup correctly.

I recommend reaching out to a local WordPress developer or freelancer to assist you with this further as it seems to be site specific.
